Join us for a day, half a day, or more between 27th of July and the 3rd of October on a unique journey to COP30!

In 2025, the COP30 Bike Ride will unite passionate adventurers from around the globe as they travel by bicycle and sailboat to the Amazonian city of Belém, Brazil – the host of COP30. Their goal? To highlight the benefits of cycling to reduce carbon emissions – a goal they pursue by bringing to the COP10 proposals of cycling policies to be included in the countries' climate plans. Join them by cycling for a half day, a full day, or more on their way to the COP30 - and help Capgemini shine by your physical contribution to this amazing initiative!

A long-distance ride for the climate!

With a main starting point in Baku, the location of the previous COP, the ride features multiple route points across continents, including Europe, Central Asia, Africa, and the Americas. Participants carry, like an Olympic flame, a symbolic banner on cycling policies and navigate diverse terrains – from urban centers to remote regions – and sail across open waters to reach their destinations. Given the unique distance and number of cyclists, this ride is attempting no fewer than three Guinness records!

What it takes to be a COP30 bike rider?

First and foremost, the right mindset! You can join for half a day, a full day or more depending on your appetite. Distances covered per day are relatively short (50-60 km depending on elevation - see detailed info by clicking on the interactive map). You only need a bicycle – electric or conventional – and maybe some camping equipment if you plan to cycle for more than a day and prefer camping over indoor accommodation. You can, of course, plan for a picnic, but food can also be bought daily during a brief morning stop. Make sure to bring water in case none is available along the way. A specific rider handbook will be provided to you upon registration.
