One month riding through Italy and the Balkans: 5 countries, about 1700 km and more than 100 cyclists!!
A 1700 km stretch through 5 countries, with over 100 cyclists riding along the way, starting on 19 August from Italy and ending in the Balkans on 18th September!!

✅The COP bike ride, for the first time, went down to the south of Italy, following the Adriatic coast on the new beautiful cycle path, and sometimes through hills country roads, in over 40-degrees heat.

Check out on our Instagram our first aquatic COP Bike Ride banner handover from Italy on the Shkodra lake of Alabania ! 😂 🤩🥳

Captured here below also:

✅ We met a lot of activists, members of FIAB (the Italian Environment and Bicycle Federation) and of independent cycle workshops and associations. We met mayors and journalists.

We discovered the beaches of Marche and Abruzzo, the fields of Molise, and the challenging big cities like Bari.

✅
Then we ventured across the sea and discovered Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia-Hercegovina and Serbia.

Countries with fewer cycle paths and bicycles on the roads, but with young, smart and enthusiastic people fighting for more sustainable transportation.

We had great social rides in Tirana and Podgorica, and spent many days on lonely wild mountain roads.
We saw wildfires on the Balkan mountains, the consequences climate change in front of us.
✅ Finally, we joined the main COP Bike Ride route in Belgrade.

Our banner will be in Antalya soon, carrying the memories and wishes of hundreds of cyclists.
