It's been a while but here is our sixth community update wich can only be made with the help of everybody’s stories — hope you will enjoy 😊!
🚴🌍 The journey keeps expanding across continents, with more riders, partners and commitments joining in. Here are the highlights from the latest stage:
On the road… in France: two parallel branches met in Bordeaux after inspiring rides from the North and South. Along the way, riders met municipalities, local cyclists and associations, collected new letters of commitment, and were warmly welcomed in cities such as Toulouse and Paris.
On the road… in Spain: the Ride has now entered Spain, where the adventure continues!

On the road… African branch: after some delays, the African branch is rolling through Tanzania on its way to Zambia — even carrying an air-quality measuring device for valuable research.
On the road… in Brazil: the Bike Ride is officially launched in Brazil! With support from renowned activists Mario Mantovani and Renata Falzoni, as well as new branches starting from Recife, Rio de Janeiro, and Santarém, the movement is gaining strong ground on the host continent of COP30.
Letters of commitment: already 38 municipalities have joined the cause with formal commitments, carried all the way to Belém by bike and sail.
Update on the sailing: after many ups and downs, one spot for a cyclist is secured to cross the Atlantic sustainably — a milestone ensuring the Eurasian banner travels fully by active travel from Azerbaijan to Brazil.
Cycling COP30 Bike Riders till now: over 600 cyclists have joined the chain already — a true community effort!
Miscellaneous: the banner has been photographed in 16 countries, our crowdfunding is ongoing to strengthen sailing and accommodations, and influential organisations such as ICLEI and the European Commission are noticing the movement.
