15 Days In: COP30 Bike Ride Reaches Zara, Türkiye 🚴♀️🌍
Just two weeks after departing, the COP30 Bike Ride has arrived in Zara (Sivas, Türkiye), with five inspiring women currently riding to promote better cycling policies.
Recent highlights include:
A warm welcome and plaque of recognition in Erzurum
Meetings with the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Erzincan, a city now developing a Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan
The Deputy Mayor acknowledged the need for better organisation among local cyclists to ensure their voices are heard — a reminder that real change is a shared effort.
Fortunately, the ride brought along 10 concrete, well-founded proposals to help cities kickstart more bike-friendly planning, especially where local cycling advocacy is still emerging. Because for cycling to flourish, supportive conditions must come first — not the other way around.
